Finding Images Generally
- Search engines
are improving all the time and some already search for images. For example,
try AltaVista.
When the page loads, click on 'Images'. You can search for photographs
and graphic images. From the main page you can also search for video
and sound clips.
Finding
Works of Art
- You might start
with the Yahoo Directory of Visual
Artists and browse for inspiration.
Finding
Photographs
- As discussed in
the coursebook, photographs are a rich stimulus for drama, and many
can be found at the Yahoo
Picture Gallery. You can either search for specific key words or
browse by subject.
- If you are looking
for a particular style or period, you could try the photographs taken
by renowned experts.
- As manufacturers
who have been associated with film for a long time, you would expect
the Kodak
Picture Centre to be full of images. It is! There is also a section
where you can upload your own images.
